Your Publishing Path: A Practical Guide with Insider Tips for Bringing Your Book to Life

In June of 2025, I began compiling a packet of information to make life easier for my publishing clients. By the end of the summer, the packet had turned into a 168-page book! Your Publishing Path is for any author searching for information on publishing options, the steps of self-publishing, and practical tips for completing some of publishing’s more technical tasks.

In the first third of the book, I outline the 7 basic steps of the publishing process—what happens after you’ve completed the first draft of your manuscript.

Then, I offer lots of practical worksheets, templates, and outlines for writing and gathering:

The final section of the book contains long-form articles and essays on some of my passions: crafting sentences, manuscript evaluations, self-publishing, and book launch events.

I created Your Publishing Path to make the steps and tasks of publishing more manageable for first-time authors, independent authors, and authors looking to broaden their knowledge of the business side of writing a book.
